NEPAL EARTHQUAKES
EMERGENCY MISSION (2015)
After the massive earthquake occurred on the 25th of April 2015 in Nepal, YuCha's members were called to be part of the the Rapid Response Team of All Hands Volunteers. Their mission was to manage volunteers, clear streets full of rubble, distribute emergency supplies and build emergency shelters. During their mission, they experienced the second earthquake (7,4 magnitude) : a life changing experience that made them carry on their efforts to help.
At the end of the mission, they visited a school built by First Steps Himalaya with the earthbag technique that withstood both earthquakes and more than 500 aftershocks. This has been the starting point of a new project which will emerge a couple of months later.
